Summary: Wanted a private place on the water, pictures don’t show a new home built directly behind this house. The fire pit and hot tub are basically in the front yard of the new house. If privacy aren’t an issue and great views are all the matters then this place is perfect.

Summary: We had a terrific 2 night stay, February 28-March 2. My daughter turned 16 and we brought her and some girlfriends out for a weekend of celebrating. The house was perfect. It's a beautiful home with a well-appointed kitchen and perfect bedrooms. Plenty of space for our group of 10 to sleep comfortably, and the common area worked well too. Winter can be a tough time in Cape Charles because some things shut down, so this house was terrific because the girls could use the hot tub and go for beach walks. We ordered pizzas and salads from Deadrise the first night, had a great lunch out at The Shanty and found that plenty of shops were open for meandering. Make sure you arrive on time for sunset; the views are incredible. Thanks so much. Hope to come back.

Summary: Can't say enough about our experience at the house! Location is top notch. House was perfect to accommodate our large group. Kitchen was stocked with every9int and more to make all your meals. It was nice having a big outdoor area to dump our beach gear and run around with the kids. If our group was not expanding due to kids we would come back here every year. We loved what felt like a private beach too. I think most will agree, the access to the beach is not the best but I assume that is the counties responsibility. If it is not, I would recommend putting some stairs in. Romy answered all out questions within 24 hours which was very helpful as well. You wont be disappointed if you end up spending your faimly vacation here!

Summary: Beautiful property with view of the bay. We had a glorious family reunion here with people of all ages. The beach was beautiful and secluded and the hot tub was great for the couple of overcast days we had. Plenty of kids toys, games, floaties, beach chairs and towels, whatever we needed was there. Communication with the owner was superb.

Summary: This home was exactly what we wanted for our family vacation with little kids and grandparents. Plenty of room, very comfortable, clean, and so close to the beach. Not many people on the beach so it felt relatively private; water was gentle and good for kids. Fun to visit the town and then relax at the house by the water in such a peaceful spot.

Summary: This was a great place for our family vacation. We had 13 people from three generations. There was more than enough room for us. The property manager was very quick to respond to inquiries. The check-in process was clearly explained and easy to do. We had a fantastic time at the beach! The waves were just right for our little ones. We liked the quiet location. Like previous reviews, the house was very well stocked. We would stay here again. Oh, and we got to see dolphins in the bay a few times!

Summary: This house is everything you’d imagine and more. This was our third year staying and we absolutely love it for our family. The location is incredible. The home is well kept and clean. The beds are quite comfortable and the extra twin beds in rooms make it easy to accommodate children. The owners are responsive and very kind. The beach: Wonderful calm swimming for all ages and beautiful beach. The kayaks were a wonderful addition, however the beach access was so rough this year it was nearly impossible to carry them down and up from the beach. Getting young children and beach gear up/down the rocky drop-off was quite a challenge this year despite being so close to the shore. The beach access is really the only thing that could improve with this amazing location. Everything on property is 10 stars, I just hope the price doesn’t continue to rise as it was quite an investment to stay this summer. Thanks for another great stay and for the family memories we’ve made here!
